Ryan grew up in northern Illinois, a multi-sport student athlete. After being named Illinois High School Gatorade Player of the Year for basketball, he signed a full ride scholarship to play at the University of Notre Dame. His professional playing career included 5 seasons in the USA, between the IBA, USBL, CBA, ABA, and 3 different tours with Athletes in Action. And 13 seasons in Venezuela, France and Italy, where he was a member of 2 Cup Championship teams, 2 League Championship teams, as well as multiple Euro League qualifiers.

 

Since retiring from his professional playing career, Ryan has been a part of various teams and organizations where he identifies his role and applies himself with an unwavering commitment to building quality relationships. He is a consummate team player and constantly looking to unify people on a path to true greatness.

 

His faith in Jesus Christ, his support team of family and friends, and a strong drive to excel have carried him through the years. His passions include building God's Kingdom, spending quality time with family and friends, and coaching, watching or playing sports, especially golf, basketball and baseball. He currently resides in Lenexa, Kansas with his wife, 2 daughters and son.
